Is it better to appoint a family member to be in charge of your funeral and burial arrangements, or to pre-arrange everything with a funeral home?  In some families, the need to control those decisions cause fractures in family relationships that never heal.  If you sense there will be a disagreement, make your own arrangements.  At the very least, appoint someone to be in charge and make decisions. In Ohio, there are specific documents, prepared by your estate planning attorney, to address these issues.
