How often should your estate plan be reviewed? That depends on many factors, such as marriage or divorce of a child, receipt of an inheritance, retirement, changes in laws, a change in attitude about children or grandchildren and many other issues. I recommend reviewing your plan at least every 2 years, or more often if one or more of those life-changing events occurs.
Having a plan which no longer makes sense could be worse than having no plan at all.
