How often should my estate planning documents be reviewed? Whenever laws…or life… changes. Attitudes about family members, changes in the assets which you own and divorces among family members are among the most often encountered. Unfortunately, most people do not change their estate planning documents to address those changes. Make it a point to pick a day…your birthday, anniversary, a holiday…and on that day, review your documents. If changes are warranted, see your estate planning attorney.
