If you have minor children, selecting a guardian to take care of their daily needs is a challenging task. You probably want to select someone who is a clone of the way you parent. However, just as important as who will handle the finances for your minor children. Select this person carefully, and it often times is not a good idea to make them the same person as the guardian of the daily needs of the children. This can lead to abuse or exploitation of your children’s money and to the money not being spent on your children. Always pick a primary person and at least two backups to be the guardian of the person and estate of your children.
