Should the originals of my will or trust be kept at home in a fireproof safe? No! Most safes that are on the market are only fire-retardant, not fireproof. As a result, they could be destroyed if the fire burns for a long enough period of time. A bank safe deposit box is the best place (they are no longer sealed when you pass away in Ohio), but be sure to tell the person(s) who will handle your affairs where the key for the box is located.
