Question: Does a last will ever have to be renewed, or does it have an end date? Answer: No. Wills remain valid until the death of the person who created it, as long as they have not been revoked. However, wills and the rest of your estate plan need to be reviewed at least every 3 years, to make sure that your family situation and/or the laws have changed, requiring changes in your documents. You should meet with your estate planning attorney regularly to review your documents. -Attorney Jack N. Alpern
