8 Costly Mistakes Families Make In Their Estate Plans (this is a free webinar).ics
Very few of our clients call to let us know about important changes in their life and family. Over the years, we have found that many clients experienced major changes in their family, including the birth, adoption, or death of children or grandchildren, divorces or marriages of key family members, and many other important changes. In addition, we saw clients had substantially changed the amount of property they owned. Perhaps they received a large inheritance from their parents, or they refinanced their home, bought new real estate, or made large gifts to children or grandchildren. Calls would come in from the hospital letting us know that mom or dad was completely incapacitated or the calls came after the funeral, asking for directions in managing and distributing the estate. Even worse, we found that some clients did not let their family members know about the existence of their plan or what future role they played in making the plan work once mom and dad were gone. Not only did clients change assets in general, they often made large investments without our knowledge that completely bypassed their carefully constructed estate plan. Unfortunately, many financial advisors never even asked if these new investments could harm your estate plan. In short, rather than calling us to let us know things had changed, many of our clients took other actions that actually jeopardized their well-planned estate plan. Unfortunately, we often only found out what kind of mess had been created when it was too late to help. After years of seeing many tragedies befall the families of our clients due to an outdated estate plan, we, as a firm, vowed this would never happen to our clients again. That is why we are offering this webinar! We are hosting an educational workshop just for you and other valued clients of the law firm where we will discuss 8 common mistakes we want to be sure you avoid. We are planning on your attendance as well as your family members and successor trustees so they too can learn about their roles and help safeguard their own legacy. After the presentation, you will also have an opportunity to schedule a free estate plan audit to review any changes that have occurred and to ensure that your plan continues to work the way you intend. P.S. Whether you created your estate plan with us two years ago or 12 years ago, this event is a perfect time to make sure your family is protected and your plan continues to work now and well into the future.
Event is due and cannot be registered at the moment
